British Journal of Photography (BJP)

For so many years I had followed the BJP and their awards. This year I was chosen for their shortlist to the Portrait of Humanity award. I’m beside myself and so so grateful to have been selected.

The work chosen was made during the first “Covid Summer” while I was based in St. Ives, Cornwall. I spent an hour or so chatting with a man named John Emanuel, a resident of St. Ives and professional artist, about his life in the arts and experience throughout Covid and continuing to make work.
